I think many of us can agree that having a baby during the crash of civilization might not be a good thing. With respect to that, is there any good method of natural birth control?

I know animals can do it somehow, and natural people must have had some tricks. Maybe they're so in tune with nature that they have no desire to have sex unless there is abundant food.
