You said you've had a chainsaw for four years that you vowed not to use until it could be used with alkylate fuel, even though that fuel is not available.
Is that good stewardship of the materials (chainsaw) you own, which I assume has been unused during this time? What about prudent and thoughtful use of the chainsaw, which you would want to do anyway due to the care it takes in using it?
I would think this through differently and wonder about waiting for something that's not here.
I think you can reason it in a similar way to not using the truck until bio-fuels are available.
Just something I was wondering about.
I'd say use the chainsaw, not much, and talk a lot about the need for alkylate fuel.
